v   For Post Code 1- (Senior Scientific Officer)


§        Essential Qualification: The candidate should:-
I.          Not be more than 37 of years of age.

II.          Possess a Post Graduate Degree of a Recognized University or Institute with first class in the discipline of Environmental Science/ Chemistry / Bio Chemistry / Microbiology / Aquatic Biology / Marine Biology / Bio Science / Bio-technology. Provided that the preference will be given to the Doctorate or M.Phil in relevant subject and/or those trained in laboratory/environment management.
III.          Thos havin Doctorate   degree   i aforesai discipline   mus have

experience of at least 05 years; while those having M.Phil degree must possess atleast 06 years of experience; in different aspects of environmental management including working and handling of analysis of wastewater and/or air parameters in environmental laboratory. Those possessing Post Graduate degree in aforesaid mentioned disciplines must have atleast 08 years of experience in different aspects of environmental management including working and handling of analysis of wastewater and/or air parameters in environmental laboratory.
IV.          Have experience in the field of Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance

(QA)  and  Quality  Management  System  of  Laboratory  or  Laboratory


Management System (LMS) or Environment Management System (EMS) including handling of environmental laboratory as head or incharge independently for atleast 2 years out of the requisite years mentioned in 2c
(iii) above.

V.          Should have the basic Knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, as amendment from time to time.
VI.          Should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.

§        Those having only requisite qualification and requisite number of years as per III & IV above only need to apply. M. Phil & Ph.D would be taken as educational qualification. Ph.D/SRF/JRF will not be counted towards experience, which must be noted.
§        The candidate should email their detail in Form I attached with this advertisement along with self attested certificates of educational qualification (degrees, marksheets, proof of birth date etc.) and experience certificate to career@gemi-india.org latest by 09-06-2015, failing which they will not be shortlisted for interview and sole responsibility for which will be of candidate himself/herself. Further, the candidate must also email their experience certificate showing that they have worked in environmental laboratory as head or incharge independently for atleast two years. The experience letter should have details as per III & IV above.


v   For Post Code 2- (Deputy Environmental Engineer)


§        Essential Qualification: The candidate should:-
I.          Not be less than 21 years and more than 35 of years of age.

II.          Should posses a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Institute with first class in the Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with environment as elective or with Chemical Engineering with environment as elective. Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Management shall be preferable.
III.          Should have relevant experience of at least 05 years in different aspects of Environmental Management and Pollution Control. Those possessing Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Management should have relevant experience of at least 03 years in different


aspects of Environment Management and Pollution Control. Preference will be given to those having training in Environment Management.
IV.          Should have the basic Knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in

Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, as amendment from time to time.
V.          Should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.

v   For Post Code 3- (Deputy Superintendent)


§        Essential Qualification: The candidate should:-
I.          Not be more than 32 of years of age.

II.          Should possess a Bachelor Degree from a Recognized University or Institute with First Class in Commerce, Arts, Law, Business Administration or Science.
III.          Should have relevant post qualification experience of at least 02 (two) years as in office routine work of accounts with reputed organization.
IV.          Should have the basic Knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, as amendment from time to time.
V.          Should possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.



Applicable conditions:


1.     No relaxation in age, experience and qualifications would be given.

2.     Those not having the required qualification and/or experience need not apply

3.     The candidates belonging to reserved category can apply against vacancies for General Category, however in such case all criteria shall be as applicable to the General Category.
4.     The candidates shall furnish formula/method for calculation of percentage, when percentage of marks is not given by the University.


5.     Age and experience as on the last date fixed for application shall be considered for calculation of maximum age limit and relevant experience
6.     For candidates who are already in Gujarat Govt. service, either as a permanent or a temporary officiating continuously for six months and had not crossed age limit prescribed for the advertised post at the time of his first appointment, the relaxation will be 5 years or extent years for which service has been put in by him
/  her,  which  ever  is  less  as  per  Gujarat  Civil  Services  Classification  and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967. For details refer to the aforesaid rules.
7.     Selected candidates may be posted to any branches/offices in Gujarat as per

requirements of this Institute or may be transferred in future to places outside Headquarters.
8.     The  candidate  who  is  presently  working  in  Government  will  have  to  apply

through  proper  channel.  No application  from  also  such  candidate  would  be considered, if the application is not received through proper channel.
9.     The candidate, who is eligible and wishes to apply for more than one post, may do so separately for each of the post.
10.  At the time of Interview, candidate would be required to produce the original proof of birth date, experience certificate(s), educational qualification certificates, mark sheets, training certificates etc. along with photo copy of each of such document and two recent passport size photographs.

No person shall be eligible for appointment to any of the above Services –

§        Unless One is a citizen of India

§        If one has been dismissed from Service by the Central Government or any State Government or U.Ts. or any Local Authority
§        If one has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or who is or has

been  permanently  debarred  or  disqualified  by  any  Recruiting  or  Examination- conducting Authority from appearing in Competitive Examinations or Selections
§        If one directly or indirectly influences the Recruiting Authority by any means for his/her candidature
§        If he is a man, has more than one wife living. And, if a woman, has married a man

already having another wife

§        If he/she submits incomplete information or does not submit required documents or submit false information.

Applications are invited online only. Applicants are requested to submit their application from 21-05-2015 to 06-06-2015. Following are the steps to fill the online application:

i.          Go to http://ojas.guj.nic.in

ii.          Click on apply now.

iii.          Fill the application form with necessary details like personal details, mobile number, e-Mail ID, etc.
iv.          After filling personal details, fill up the educational details.

v.          Click on the additional qualification and fill up the additional qualifications, if any.

vi.          Click on the experience details & fill the experience details, in case you want to add more experience, click ADD MORE Experience.
vii.           Select Yes/ No in self-declaration.

viii.           The application will be saved after clicking the SAVE button & application number will be generated.
ix.          In case you want to edit the application, click EDIT application button & edit the

details which you want to edit. This facility will be available until you confirmed the application. Once you confirm the application, it cannot be edit.
x.          Now click upload photograph & type your application number & Date of Birth and

click OK Here you have to upload both Photograph & Signature.

Note: File type should be .jpeg only & individual size should not be more than 10 kb.

xi.          Click on confirm application to confirm the application and type the application number & Date of Birth, then click OK
xii.           Once you confirmed the application, print the challan and go the nearest Post Office to deposit the application fees (non-refundable) + Postal service charge is to be deposited in the Post Office. Collect the copy of Challan for your reference. The Post office would receive the application fee only upto 09-06-2015 during it working hours.
